Take the first step towards cleaner water.
It takes about thirty minutes at your taps, and the results are yours to keep. You never have to buy a thing.
- Thirty minutes
- At your house
- Results on paper
- Nothing to buy
Three steps at your house
We test city water and private wells. We cover Portage, Geauga, Summit, Medina, Lake and Cuyahoga County. The numbers come from your own taps, not from a county average.
We measure
We use real test kits and meters, right at your tap. We also look at where a system would go.
We explain
We show you what we found, in plain words. We say which parts are about taste and stains, and which parts are about health.
You choose
You get your options in writing, with prices. If you need nothing, we put that in writing too.
What we check at your house, on the spot
White crust, rust stains, black specks
What coats your faucets and stains your tub. We size a softener from what we find.
Water that eats at your pipes
We also check how much is dissolved in your water. That tells us whether a drinking water filter would help you.
Water that tastes like a pool
On city water, we measure how much chlorine is left by the time it reaches your tap.
Rotten egg smell
We check for it on the spot, at your taps.
Whose credential is whose
- The installation
- Installed by a licensed professional. The license is theirs, not ours, and you can look it up yourself.Check Ohio eLicense.
- The equipment
- The filter holds the certification, not us. And it covers only what that filter was tested for. A filter certified to reduce lead under NSF/ANSI 53 is certified for that, and nothing else.Search NSF listings.
- Bedrock Water
- We sell, size, test, and service the equipment. Bedrock Water holds no plumbing license. We don’t pull permits. And we’ll never claim either one as ours.
- Your protection
- You may cancel any agreement signed in your home until midnight of the third business day after signing.
Show me the lab details
No field kit can measure lead, arsenic, bacteria, nitrate, PFAS or VOCs. Ours can’t either. For a well, we take samples and send them out to a lab certified by Ohio EPA, and the report comes back in your name.
- The state’s own list — certified laboratories in Ohio.
- How to read the report — an OSU Extension guide to reading a well water test.
- A snapshot of one tap on one day — well water changes with rain and season, so retest for bacteria and nitrate yearly.
- No water test finds a lead service line — that’s a plumbing question, and your water company keeps the list of which houses have one.
Common questions
What if I have a well?
You get the same test at your taps. We also take samples for the lab — lead, arsenic, bacteria and nitrate. The lab report comes back in your name.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. The test is free and the results are yours either way. If your water is fine, we write that down too. Then ask us to service the system you already own. Or ask us back next year to test again.
What can you not measure at my house?
Lead, arsenic, bacteria, nitrate, PFAS and VOCs. No field kit can measure those, whatever anyone tells you at your sink. They go to a lab.
What happens to my results?
They’re yours. We leave a copy with you, and lab reports come in your name. We never sell, share or trade your contact details or your water data.
Before the visit: every step, from booking to installation. After the test: ongoing service, retests and lab sampling.
