What softener repair and service covers in Akron and Summit County
We work in Akron, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls and Tallmadge, and across our six counties. We ask about the valve first and quote the visit before we come out.
What we repair
A softener that stopped working, one that runs but leaves the crust, or one that eats salt. Fleck and Clack valves.
Salt, settings and filters
Salt kept topped up, the valve set the way it went in, and cartridges changed on schedule. Plan or no plan.
Systems we didn’t sell
Most softeners run on a standard valve. If yours does, we can work on it, whoever put it in.
Well water testing, sent to a certified lab
Lead, arsenic, bacteria, and nitrate for wells — reported in your name.
Upkeep as a plan or a visit
Some tests come back fine. Then we sell you nothing. What is left is this: we service the system you already own, and we test it again next year. Upkeep isn’t complicated: a cartridge on schedule, salt kept topped up, and a valve still set the way it went in.
- Closed valves — some heads are closed and we can’t get parts for those. We say so on the phone, before anyone drives out.
- Bedrock Care, the monthly plan — an annual retest, RO filter changes, salt monitoring and priority scheduling. The plan has its own page.
- Or no plan at all — service visits are priced per visit and quoted before we come out.
- Where we do it — softener service across Summit, Portage, Medina, Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga County, and well testing across the same six counties.
- Read the evidence — what the free in-home test measures, and what the USGS found in Geauga County wells.
A sample becomes a written sheet of numbers you keep.
Common questions
Will you service a system you didn’t sell?
Yes, if it runs on standard valves — which is most of them. We quote the visit before we come out.
What can you not fix?
Closed, brand-only valves we can’t get parts for. We’ll tell you that on the phone rather than at your house.
What does the service plan cost?
One monthly amount, quoted in writing on install day, and per-visit service exists without it.
Who installs it?
Installed by a licensed professional.
Start with the numbers.
Then keep them. That’s what the plan is for.
