Reverse osmosis drinking water systems
A whole-home system isn’t built to make drinking water. Reverse osmosis is. It pushes water through a membrane fine enough to catch the heavy metals and leftover chlorine a carbon filter lets through. This is the water you drink, cook with, and fill the coffee maker from.
Two systems

Tankless Reverse Osmosis
Filtration on demand, and you get your cabinet back.
Fine enough to take out what a carbon filter passes straight through.
Heavy metals, chlorine, and the things a carbon filter lets straight through. Because there’s no storage tank, you get water on demand and the space under your sink stays yours.
Best for: Anyone who wants better drinking and cooking water
5-Stage Tank Reverse Osmosis
The classic under-sink RO. Proven, simple, less to it.
A traditional reverse osmosis system with a storage tank.
Five stages of filtration, its own drinking-water faucet, and a design that has been in kitchens for decades. If you want reverse osmosis without the tankless hardware, this is the one.
Best for: Households that want proven reverse osmosis and don’t mind the tank
What a drinking water system does
It catches what carbon lets through
Heavy metals, PFAS, and what carbon lets through. In older Cleveland and Akron housing stock, where lead solder and old service lines still turn up, this is the filter that matters at the tap you drink from.
Coffee and ice change noticeably
The taste difference in coffee, tea and ice is what people mention first. Cooking too — pasta water and stock genuinely taste different.
It replaces bottled water
A household going through cases of bottled water a month usually finds the change pays for itself faster than they expected. The plastic stops as well.
Reverse osmosis questions
Is reverse osmosis water safe to drink?
Yes. It’s the same process used to make bottled water and to supply hospitals and labs. It pushes water through a membrane fine enough to leave the heavy metals behind.
Is reverse osmosis water good for you?
It’s clean water. What it isn’t is a health product, and we aren’t going to sell it as one. Reverse osmosis takes minerals out along with everything else, and you get those minerals from food rather than from tap water. If you want them back for taste, an alkaline filter does that.
Does reverse osmosis water need minerals added back?
Only if you want it to. Some people find plain reverse osmosis water tastes flat, because the minerals that give water its taste are gone with everything else. An alkaline filter puts calcium and magnesium back. It changes the taste, not the safety.
Can you drink reverse osmosis water every day?
Yes. That’s what it’s for. Households on reverse osmosis drink it, cook with it, and fill the coffee maker from it.
Is reverse osmosis water bad for you?
No. The argument you’ll read online is about the minerals it removes. Those come from what you eat, not from your tap, and the amount in ordinary tap water is small. If the flat taste bothers you, put the minerals back with a filter.
