How the free water test works

No sales pitch at the door. If your water is fine, we’ll say so, and you keep the results either way.

  1. Step 1: Book a time

Book online or call us. We’ll call you back to set a day.

  2. Step 2: We test at your kitchen sink

It takes about thirty minutes. We check hardness, iron, chlorine and smell, and you watch every test.

  3. Step 3: You keep the numbers

We write them down and leave you a copy, whether you buy or not. Lead and bacteria need a lab, so we send those out.

  4. Step 4: You get a price in writing

If you want a system, we size it to your water and your home. The price is in writing before anything is scheduled. Installed by a licensed professional.

Systems we sell

Most homes need one system. Some need two. Your test results decide which.

  • Whole-house systems

Softeners and filtration installed where water enters the house, so every tap, shower and appliance gets the same treated water. This is what fixes hard water and chlorine.

  • Drinking water systems

Reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink. A whole-home system isn’t built to make drinking water — this is. It’s what you cook with, drink, and fill the coffee maker from.

  • Add-ons

Extras for one specific problem. Minerals put back after reverse osmosis, and UV light for bacteria. You don’t need these to have good water.

What Northeast Ohio water does to a house

Hard water wears things out

It leaves a chalky crust that builds up for years inside the water heater, the dishwasher and the pipes. You don’t see it until something breaks.

How a softener stops it

City water tastes of chlorine

Akron and Cleveland add it to keep the water safe in the pipes. That’s on purpose, but a lot of people don’t like the taste or the smell. A carbon filter takes it out where water comes into the house.

What Akron adds to its water

A well is its own problem

In Geauga, Portage and Medina, lots of homes are on wells. Wells bring iron stains, manganese and a rotten egg smell. A city-water system won’t fix any of it, so we ask which one you’re on.
