This policy covers Bedrock Water LLC (“Bedrock Water”, “we”), based in Streetsboro, Ohio, and this website, bedrockwaterco.com.
The short version
We collect what we need to test your water and quote a job. We do not sell it and we do not rent lead lists. We do share some of what happens on this website with Google and Meta, so we can tell which ads actually bring us work — the last section says exactly what. Your water test results are yours, and your mobile number is never shared for anyone else's marketing.
What we collect
- What you tell us in the booking form: your name, phone number, email address, service address, and what you have noticed about your water.
- Your consent record: if you check the box on our form agreeing to receive text messages, we store the exact wording you were shown, the date and time, and the IP address the form came from. If you opt in through the text box on our site instead, we keep a record of the wording and when you agreed. Either record exists to prove we asked properly.
- Water test results from the visit, and any certified laboratory report.
- Basic analytics about pages visited, described below.
Text messages
If you consent, we text you about your water test and service — appointment confirmations, reminders, and results. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive text messages with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages actually help people, and the same measurement also reports to our advertising accounts. It is loaded in a denied-by-default consent mode, which means nothing is set unless you allow it, and you can decline without losing any functionality. We also use privacy-friendly hosting analytics that set no cookies and do not identify you.
We also use the Meta Pixel, which tells us which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people here. It loads on every visit, whatever you pick on the notice, and Meta may set its own cookies when it does.
Our three county pages embed a Google map of that county. The map is loaded from Google, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads, in the same way it would on any site that shows one. It loads only on those three pages, only when you scroll to it, and it shows the county rather than any address of ours. Nothing you type on this site is sent to it.
Who else sees your information
Only the parties who have to, to do the work:
- The licensed professional who installs your system.
- A certified laboratory, when your water samples require analysis.
- Service providers who run our scheduling, messaging, and website infrastructure, who may only use it to provide that service to us.
- Google and Meta, who receive website activity and advertising measurement data. The last section on this page sets out what that covers and what it does not.
We do not sell your information. We do not trade or rent lead lists. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose something, we will comply with the law.
How long we keep it
Customer records and test results are kept as ordinary business records. Consent records are kept for as long as we may need to demonstrate that consent was given. If you want your information deleted, ask us and we will delete what we are not required to keep.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
- Decline analytics cookies on the notice at the bottom of the page.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it.
Children
This is a home services business. The site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Consent records always reflect the wording you were actually shown at the time.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Google and Meta. Advertising only works if we can tell which ads bring us actual work, so we share some information with them for that purpose. This section says what.
What they receive:
- Which pages you visited on this site, and whether you booked a test or tapped to call.
- The advertising click identifier that was in the link you arrived on, which is what ties a booking back to the ad that produced it.
- Your IP address and browser, which any website receives when you load a page.
- A scrambled version of your email address, if you give us one. It is turned into a fixed string of characters before it leaves us, and it is used to match you to an ad click.
What they do not receive:
- Your mobile number. Not scrambled, not in any form. That commitment is in the text messages section above and this section does not weaken it.
- Your water test results, or anything you told us about your house.
- Your name or your address.
Google's part of this waits until you accept on the notice at the bottom of the page, and declining costs you nothing on this site. Meta's pixel runs on every visit either way. You can also turn off ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings, which applies everywhere, not just here.
