Backed for life. Here is exactly what that covers.

Plenty of companies say lifetime warranty and stop there. Here is the real coverage, part by part. The parts that are not covered for life are set out just as plainly.

The short version

Three tiers. Which one applies depends on the part, not on how long ago you bought it.

  1. Lifetime on dry parts

The mechanical parts that never touch water. Tanks too.

  2. Five years on the working parts

Control valve, circuit board and filtration media.

  3. One year on labor

Work arising from the original install, from the day it’s finished.

The whole table, nothing held back

This is our coverage on each part. Weighing us against someone else? Ask them for theirs in this format. The answer tells you a lot. So does the reluctance.

The terms that come with it

  • Original purchaser, at the address where it was installed— a replacement part carries whatever is left of the original period, not a fresh one.
  • Fitted by someone we approve — and after the first year, the labor to swap a part is not included.
  • We honour it in person — across Cuyahoga, Summit, Portage, Geauga, Medina and Lake County. A warranty is worth the distance somebody will drive.
  • This page is a summary — the binding document is thefull limited warranty statement, and where the two differ that one governs.

What is not covered

Every warranty has exclusions. Here are ours, before you buy rather than after something breaks.

  • Misuse, accidents and neglect

Including damage from running the system in a way it was not built for.

  • Bad installation or unauthorized repairs

If someone else opens it up and it then goes wrong, that is not a claim.

  • Acts of nature

Flooding and freezing are the two that actually happen here.

  • Water that fouls the media

Water that clogs filters, resin or a membrane. This is what the free test is for.

  • Modifications

Changes to the system we did not make and did not approve.

Coverage holds when the system is installed, run and maintained the way it was set up. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the system.

Keeping it healthy

Four habits. None of them take long, and three of them you do yourself.

  • Check the salt

Look in the salt tank monthly at first. Once you know your rhythm, every two or three months is enough. Low? Pour a bag straight on top.

  • Change the RO filters yearly

Once a year on the tank system. Tankless cartridges swap by hand, no tools and no visit needed.

  • Keep the bypass reachable

If a plumber ever works on your house, reaching the bypass saves everyone an hour.

  • Call us before you call anyone else

Unauthorized repairs void the coverage. And it is usually a setting, not a fault. Ring first.

Warranty questions

What does lifetime actually mean here?

For as long as you own the system, at the address where it was installed. It does not transfer to the next owner of the house. And it covers the parts listed as lifetime above, not the whole system.

Why is the control valve five years and not lifetime?

It is the part with moving pieces and electronics in it, so it is the part that wears. Five years is what the manufacturer stands behind. We would rather print that than print lifetime and argue with you later.

Is labor covered after the first year?

No. The part is covered on the schedule above. After year one, the labor to fit it is not. We say so now because a warranty you misunderstand is worse than none.

How do I make a claim?

Call us on (330) 249-7877. We look at it first. More often than you would think, the answer is a setting rather than a failed part. If it is the part, we handle the claim with the manufacturer. You do not.

Who does the installation?

Installed by a licensed professional.

Is installation really free?

Yes. A standard installation is included in your price. If your home needs extra work, like a new bypass loop or a longer drain line, it’s listed and priced in writing before you sign.
