How the big brands price a system in Cuyahoga and Summit County
We checked Kinetico.com on 30 August 2026. Kinetico’s own site publishes no system prices. Every route through it ends at a local dealer.

- None of that is wrong — sizing depends on your water and pipes. A reason to test first, not to hold the number back.

Five things to ask before you book an in-home visit
Ask us these too. Any company that can size a system from a water test can answer all five by email.
The range, in writing, first
Ask for a price range by email, before the visit. If they say it depends, ask what it depends on. Then ask what the range is at each end.
Whose valve is on it
Some valves are the maker’s own, and only their dealer can service them. Any shop in the county can service a Fleck or Clack head.
Who actually does the plumbing
Installed by a licensed professional.
What the test measures, and who runs it
Ask for your numbers in writing. Health items are arsenic, bacteria and nitrate. Ask if those go to a certified lab, or get read in your kitchen.
What happens when you say no
You may cancel any agreement signed in your home until midnight of the third business day after signing.

Common questions
Are you cheaper than the big brands?
We can’t honestly say, and nor can they. There are no system prices on Kinetico.com to line anything up against. Compare what each company will put in writing before it visits.
Why do they all want to come out first?
Sizing depends on your water and your home. White crust on the faucets, rust stains in the tub, a big family or a small one. That’s a real reason to test first. It’s not a reason to hold the number back until someone is in your kitchen.
Do you need to visit as well?
Yes, and the test is free. You get your numbers in writing at the end. The price comes in writing too, before anything is scheduled.
Why name another company at all?
Because you’re comparing us to them already. Pretending we aren’t helps nobody. Federal guidance backs naming a rival when the claim is clear and true.
